Thanks for the input, FinFan. Yeah, my betta does live alone, and I actually took him out of quarantine since posting. I was worried the bettafix might mess with the nitrogen cycle, but now I've put him back in his own tank - he seems way happier there. I had the same thought, it's hard to get good ...

I swear, Mattell's found the most adorable way to snooze - he jams himself behind the heater cord, lol.
The tank's at a comfy 80F, so it's not like he's trying to warm up or anything. It's literally just his go-to spot to catch some Z's.
