Re: raising mbuna babies
My livebearers are always popping out babies, but I'm not sure if that's a sign of happiness for them since they breed like crazy. Either way, it's awesome you're getting some new additions - best of luck with those little Mbuna!

Congrats on the new additions, seems like you're on a roll with the fish, one batch after another.

Re: raising mbuna babies
You're asking if I was caught off guard or if I knew they were on the way. To be honest, I had an inkling there might be eggs, but I wasn't entirely sure - had my fingers crossed, though.

Re: can torch corals touch hammer corals?
I've had mine touch briefly with no drama, but it's sketchy. Depends on the individual coral's mood, honestly. My Hammer's chill, but my Torch is a diva. If you see bleaching or retraction, cut the distance. What's your nitrate level? Mine sits around 5 ppm, and they're less aggressive when it's ...

Re: hello, i'm new here
Honestly, I think there's been a mix-up with your yellow lab - the one in the photos looks more like a red zebra to me. If the other one's the same, it's no wonder they fought after being stuck in the same bag for a while.
From what I've seen in your other thread, it seems like you're in the ...

Re: finding a suitable tank mate for frontosa
I didn't think adding 3 more frontosas to my tank would make much of a difference, but seeing them all swim together is actually really nice. The extra ones seem to have brought a bit more life to the tank, and it's great to see them all together. Congrats on the tank upgrade elirix

Inkline usually comes from stress or injury, I'm guessing this poor guy went through something rough.

Re: identifying these fish
Appears to be a type of parrot, possibly related to the ones I've seen before.

Re: A 30 gallon tank
Honestly I'm skeptical about fitting Africans in a 30 gallon, but hey if you can make it work, I'm not the right person to ask for advice on that.

Re: A 30 gallon tank
What type of fish are you drawn to - community, aggressive, or something a bit unusual? Got a favorite you'd like to build a stock around?
