Is my betta changing color - an angel update

UPDATE: Angel's doing fantastic, our training's progressing really well - we're just taking things one step at a time, but he's picking it up quickly. When I tap the glass, he swims right up - not every time, but he's getting the hang of it. I even made him a custom feeding ring temporarily until ...

Using indian almond leaves: are they worth it?

I'm thinking of getting some Indian almond leaves for my betta Angel and I was wondering, what are they actually for? Are there any benefits that I should know about? I'm really curious to learn more about them before I buy.

Re: explaining ei fert adjustments

I've got pressurized CO2, which now makes sense of the EI article's explanation that a lack of certain nutrients can lead to algae. Initially, I was concerned that adding mag, phos, plus the phos in tap water, would essentially be laying out a feast for algae.

Been running this setup for a week now ...

explaining ei fert adjustments

Hi everyone,

I'm curious about how others who use EI fertiliser account for the nitrates from fish waste, phosphates in fish food that end up in the waste, and the phosphates in tap water. The EI method seems straightforward without fish, but I'm having trouble figuring it out with them in the tank ...
