Re: Jason fox day-glo favites corals
Honestly, my frags don't live up to the pics on Jfox's site. They're pretty meh in person, if you want my opinion. Zeno4's pics are more accurate, mine looks similar to his.

seeking bangaii cardinal advice
I'm about 4-6 weeks away from getting a new fish.
I've got a soft spot for bangaii cardinal fish, and I've already got one in my 60l nano - it's the only fish in there at the moment. I'm thinking of getting another one, and they'll be the only two fish in the tank. Looking at pics of bangaii pairs ...

Re: keeping cleaner shrimp
I had a similar issue with my cleaner shrimp, they both kicked the bucket within 24 hours of each other after 6 months in the tank. Got some advice and it seemed like low iodine levels were the culprit, they couldn't shed and that's what did 'em in. Maybe you're dealing with the same thing?

Re: Is afw a valid coral identification term
I'll post more pics tonight of other corals. Most sps have that dull grey look and no polyp extension, which is why I'm thinking AEFW.
The weird thing is, some colonies are thriving - amazing color and polyp extension. It's only the frags that have this greyed out look. Maybe AEFW haven't reached ...

Re: Is afw a valid coral identification term
The frag was browned out when it came in, about three inches tall. I do have some validas in the same tank, but no bite marks on them. Color and growth are off across all my SPS though.

Re: Is afw a valid coral identification term
I guess I was wrong about the big marks then. Thought for sure they were AEFW bites.

Re: Is afw a valid coral identification term
Honestly, I'm not convinced those are AEFW either, Briko's got a point - what makes you so sure, fish_hawk?

Is afw a valid coral identification term
I'm fairly certain I've got an AEFW issue on my hands. Would really appreciate it if any of the more experienced folks here could take a look and confirm for me.
