Re: Are Zoanthids safe with SPS?
I've got a mixed reef with SPS and Zoanthids, but I'm worried the Zoas might mess with the SPS. Anyone have experience with this combo? My tank's a 75-gallon with Radion lights, 1.026 salinity, and weekly 10% water changes.
It depends on the Zoa species. Some, like Rastas, are pretty tame ...

Re: keeping coral beauty and flame angel fish
It's doable, but not always the best idea, I've tried it before and they got along fine, but every few days they'd have a go at each other. So I ended up removing one. I've heard that Flames and Bicolours mix the best, supposedly because they're so different in colour, which reduces the likelihood ...

Re: Torch coral stinging other corals, what to do?
Yeah, relocation's the move. Had the same issue with my Hammer last year. Put it on an island rock in the middle, and problem solved. Also, check your alk, bro. If it's swinging, corals get pissy.
Agreed. Alk stability is key. Torches can extend sweepers further if parameters are off. Test your ...

Is the six line wrasse prone to red eyes?
Happened twice now, both times for about 2 days. The white lines on my wrasse's eyes turn red - what's going on?
He's eating fine, nice and fat, no stress signs at all.
Got any ideas?

Re: selecting the right tang
Overstocking's got me a bit concerned, to be honest. You'll need to do more water changes to keep nitrates in check down the line. I've got 4 in my 55gal now, and I know it's not overstocked, so all the fish have their own space.
As for adding, I'd do it in this order: Neon goby, six line, gramma ...

Re: selecting the right tang
Honestly, I find acclimating them for about an hour to an hour and 20 minutes works best for me. Leaving them stuck in a bag for over 2 hours can cause more stress than a slight salinity change. I wouldn't recommend having both tangs, one would be better. They'll show off their colors and character ...

Re: selecting the right tang
Honestly, I've had a gold rush tang and a tomini bristle tooth in my 55 gallon tank, so I've got the smallest tang you can fit and it does alright. A yellow eyed bristle tooth tang would probably be a better fit for you, they're pretty hardy and have a nice pattern going on, even if they are brown ...

Is this jellybean coral acceptable?
Got this in the mail and it showed up looking pretty rough. Mostly just a skeleton, fresh cut, and I couldn't even make out an eye.
A week went by and there's barely anything left. I'm pretty sure it's a goner, but there's this tiny speck of living flesh still clinging on.

Re: Keeping clown fish and yellow tang together
My clarkii has a funny habit of sitting in the corner, bobbing up and down when he's asleep, and then he'll just plop himself down on the floor - it's quite amusing, to be honest. As for your tang, I've noticed that when mine used to dart around a lot and raise his fins high all the time, it was ...

Thanks, gonna be a bit before I can frag this one. Here are some pics I took.
