Re: Identification requested
I'm definitely keeping the fry for my own collection, I have no intention of selling them. I do plan on breeding and selling in the future, but that's not on my agenda right now.

Re: Identification requested
I was at my LFS and saw this Mbuna cichlid carrying. No idea what kind she is, she was in the assorted cichlid tank. But she was real pretty, so I had to have her. Got her in a breeder box now, keeps my other cichlids from bothering her or eating the babies when they hatch. Thought it was just ...

Re: Identification requested
That's pretty interesting, seeing the babies already, this is gonna be kinda cool.
I had a hunch she might be cobalt zebra, but I didn't wanna sound clueless if I was wrong. I just thought she was real pretty and wanted her for myself. I'm not planning on selling the babies, just gonna keep ...

Re: Identification requested
I'm still trying to figure out what she is. I remember there were a bunch of other cichlids in the tank with her - some seveflakes that looked kinda like her, a couple of red zebras, a bumblebee, and a yellow lab. The store gets new shipments every Friday, and I know I didn't see her the week before ...

Re: keeping a kenyi cichlid
I've also come across info that says female Kenyi cichlids can change color to yellow if they feel the need to be more aggressive to protect themselves or their territory. That makes sense, considering my blue female was the first Kenyi I introduced to the tank, along with a male red zebra, a male ...

keeping a kenyi cichlid
I'm having a bit of a mystery with my Kenyi cichlids. I've got a female that's holding eggs in her mouth, and then there's this other one that I thought was a female, but everyone else seems to think is a male. Thing is, all the info I've read says males are yellow and females are blue, but I've ...

about the cross
I'm looking to sell my cichlid fry, but I'm having trouble coming up with a name for them. I've got a cross between a Kenyi and a Red Zebra, and also a Kenyi and a Bumblebee - what would you guys call them?

Re: identifying small white worms
My fish usually polish off the food in under a minute, and if anything does make it to the bottom, my red tailed shark or bristlenose pleco will grab it. I'm still stumped on where these worms came from though - they only showed up after I added the new plants, so maybe they hitched a ride from the ...
