Re: A regal with a striking appearance

Hi Shibby,

I've just taken a look at the Tang this morning and I'm not happy with what I've seen - there are a few white spots that seem to have spread a bit since I last checked. I'm getting a bit worried now, I've been trying to nurse it back to health in the hospital tank but this is the last ...

Re: A regal with a striking appearance

Thanks for the advice, both of you. I'll keep an eye out for whitespot, but for now, it's just looking really under the weather - the colour's gone, and it's super skinny. The pattern's still visible, but it's like a faded photograph.

I'm setting up the little cube tank as a hospital tank, and I ...

A regal with a striking appearance

Hi All,

I've got a bit of a situation on my hands. I recently picked up a load of marine equipment, and with it came a small 2' cube tank and a Regal Tang - the fish was basically free, so I wasn't expecting much. At first, I thought it was a different variety, but it's definitely a Regal, just not ...

Re: Marine fish recommendations from the community

I think you're misunderstanding the situation. I've made it clear that I'll upgrade tanks when necessary, so tank size isn't an issue for me. I've kept piranhas and turtles, always upgrading their tanks as they grow. It's not about cramming as many fish as possible into a small space. I just want to ...

Re: Marine fish recommendations from the community

I'm getting some ideas now...

So, in my D-D 24G Lynxo, I'm thinking a lone Clarkie and a lone Skunk could work well together, with some coflakes for company.

In my Juwel 100L, I'm leaning towards a Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish paired with coflakes.

Now, for my Rio 240L, I've got a few options to ...

Re: Marine fish recommendations from the community

Cheers for all your replies so far,

I've been thinking, and this is what I've come up with...

D-D 24G Lynxo Reef: I'm thinking coflakes with either a pair of young Percula Clowns or a Tomato Clown, and/or a Skunk Clown. Would anything else get along with a Tomato or Skunk clown in this tank ...

Re: Marine fish recommendations from the community

Hi, thanks for your input. I appreciate your concerns about the tank size, but as I mentioned earlier, I'm prepared to upgrade when needed.

Regarding the compatibility of the fish, I'd love to know if a Clown Trigger, Tomato Clown, Skunk Clown, Regal Tang, Yellow Tang, and a Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish ...

Marine fish recommendations from the community

Hi Everyone,

I'm in the process of setting up three marine tanks - a Rio 240, a Rekord 96, and a 24G D-D Lynxo Reef. I'd love to get some ideas on stocking them. They all have T5 lighting, and I'm keen to include coflakes in the Rio 240, but I know some fish love to eat them.

I've got a few fish ...

WWC, Planet Zoa, Your Reef, and Cultivated Reef have some awesome zoas, along with a bunch of other sites out there.

Re: Optimal water parameters for coral health

I keep my tank around 8.5 dkh for Alk, 420 for Calc, and 1380 for Mag. Nitrates are low, phosphates are undetectable on my salifert test kit.
