Small water changes every other day, like 20%. Test ammonia daily, it spikes fast in tiny tanks. I use Seachem Prime to bind any nasties. Also, keep the QT near your display so temp stays consistent. Oh, and don't feed much, just enough to keep 'em happy.

Quarantine is a must if you don't wanna risk pests like flatworms or nudis. I lost a whole colony of Acans once because I skipped QT. Now I always use a 10-gallon with a HOB filter, heater set to 78, and monitor for a week. Dip with CoralRX first, then observe. Better safe than sorry.

Smart move. Let us know how it goes. Oh, and keep your reservoir covered—dust can gunk up sensors over time.

What's your reservoir size? I've found that larger reservoirs (at least 5 gallons) help buffer against rapid swings. Also, check your ATO sensor placement—too close to flow can cause false triggers.
