I've had better luck with T5 actinics over LEDs for color pop. Less shadowing, more even coverage. What's your photoperiod? Might be worth cutting it back to 8 hours if you're blasting them for 12.

Just set up my new 40 gallon aquarium. Got 11 juvenile cichlids with it - Venustus, Livingstoni, and a few others like Flux's blood peacock and Taiwan reef. They're still pretty small, about 2-3 inches. Thinking of adding some kribs to the tank, any thoughts on that?
