Chaeto can be a bit of a nutrient hog, dude. If it's growing too fast, it might be stripping the water too clean. Corals need some nitrates and phosphates to thrive. Try cutting back the light cycle on your refugium to 8 hours instead of 12. Also, what's your alkalinity at? Low alk can mess with ...

Yeah, leathers are drama queens. Mine shed every time I look at them wrong. As long as the flesh underneath looks healthy and it's not spreading, I'd just let it ride. Keep us posted though.

Shedding's usually no big deal if it's minor. But if it's patchy or the base looks sketchy, could be infection. You dosing anything new? I'd skip carbon for a bit if you are, let it recover.

Coral Dip Recommendations

Looking for recommendations on coral dips for new frags. I've got a mixed reef with LPS and SPS, and I've heard mixed things about iodine vs. peroxide dips. What's your go-to for preventing pests without stressing the corals too much?

Along with gathering info from various sources, personal experience with your own tanks will also play a significant role in decision-making.
