I just got a used tank with fish and I'm trying to figure out what this one fish is. The guy I bought it from said it's an anthias, but I'm not really sure about that.

High nitrates, been like that all three months? I had a similar issue with mine, new light was the culprit, intensity was too high. Once I dialed it back, they opened up no problem. Also had it happen in a breeding tank, was overfeeding clownfish for spawning, nutrient levels skyrocketed. Not sure ...
