Dude, try some Cryptocoryne Wendtii. It's chill with higher pH, and the red varieties look sick. I've got some in my 55 gallon, pH 7.8, and they're spreading like mad. Just don't move 'em around too much, they hate that.

Good call on the pellet size. Mine's a small dude, so I break 'em in half sometimes. Works like a charm.

Mine's a pig, gonna eat whatever I drop in. I do 3 pellets in the mornin' and that's it. Sometimes a treat like bloodworms, but not too often. Keep it simple, ya know?

^^in my opinion, the original Aquascene ice fire tends to green out when nitrates/nutrients get higher. These two look more like a wild echinata - still look nice though.
