Re: Frogspawn coral with white dots
So did they develop into new tentacles? I never closely monitored mine, I'd love to hear an update on yours.

Re: identifying a particular blenny species
Thanks Matt for the suggestion, I really appreciate it. The link you provided is definitely a great resource, I've already bookmarked it for future reference.
I've finally managed to get a photo of my blenny, and I'm glad to say he's settling in nicely now. Here's a link to the picture:

identifying a particular blenny species
Hi all,
Just got my hands on this lovely new fish and I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out what it is. I did a Google image search, but it seems I've got the name wrong.
The body is greenish, fading into peach towards the back, and it's got these gorgeous pink and blue fins. But the real ...

Looks good to me, low flow's worked wonders for my frogspawn too, had some great growth.

Re: Eaten acanthastrea corals
I woke up to a nightmare - my beautiful LPS being ravaged. Peppermint shrimp were the culprits. I had introduced an army of them to tackle an aptasia issue and they did their job in just two days. I guess they got bored with the lack of food and decided to try something new - my Acans. Over the next ...

Re: Coral pricing and value
I'm looking to sell a couple things from my tank and I was wondering if I could get some price feedback. I've never sold anything from my tank before, so I'm not really sure what I'm doing.
I'll just post some pics and give a quick rundown of what I've got.
My Duncan has 8 decent-sized heads - 2 ...

Found a great resource on seahorse tankmates - check out this link: http/www.seahorse.org/library/articles/tankmates.shtml. This site's like a treasure trove for all things seahorse.

Re: are cardinals breeding in our area
I'm getting pretty stoked about this now. No sump for me, but a second breeding net is definitely doable. Thanks for sharing your experiences, it's great to know a decent percentage can be raised. I think I'll separate the male from the female straight away, given my setup. Thanks again, really ...

Re: are cardinals breeding in our area
Thanks coltin for the advice, really appreciate it. When you say move dad out, do you literally mean out of the tank completely - that could be a bit of a logistical nightmare for me. Once they get into breeding mode, do they tend to do it a lot - I'm not sure I'm ready for a cardinalfish explosion ...

are cardinals breeding in our area
I'm absolutely thrilled today as my male cardinal is now holding fry - fingers crossed it'll be a successful run this time around. A few weeks ago, I had a similar experience, but unfortunately, he ended up swallowing them on day 2, looking rather disappointed at missing out on his meal, and I must ...
