Re: Ideal magnesium for LPS corals

True about the light. I run mine 8 hours with a 2-hour ramp. Also, if you're dosing mag, make sure it's not the kind with extra sulfate. Some brands add it, and it can mess with your bacteria. Had that happen once, and my tank got all cloudy.

Yep, zenwave9's got it right. I bumped mine to 1400 last month, and my Hammers started extending way more. Running Red Sea Coral Pro salt, which mixes around 1350, so I dose a bit extra. You got any Acans or Torches in there? They're usually the first to show mag issues.

Same here. Forgot about iron once, and my Anubias turned yellow. Took weeks to bounce back.

I'd double-check the filter flow too. If it's too strong, it might stress the fish. Also, any chance you've overfed lately? Leftover food can mess with the water quality even if the params look fine.

Re: Feeding tips for Mushroom Corals

Reef roids are solid, but Mushroom Corals can be picky. Try spot feeding with mysis shrimp or small bits of krill. I've got a 75 gallon with similar lighting, and mine perk up after a mysis snack. Keep an eye on flow too, they don't like strong currents.

Yep, flow's key. I dialed back my MP40 ...
