Re: breeding and caring for betta fish

Do you have a plan for the fry once they're hatched. Got space for potentially 100 new fish.

You'll need to separate them, especially the males, around 6 weeks in. That's just how it works with breeding.

I'm not against breeding, but if you're gonna do it, get the good stuff. Don't just throw ...

Re: Chronic fin rot - nothing is working

Watson, my rescue betta, has been through a lot - he's got a bent spine, but it doesn't seem to bother him much. Stress from my recent move caused him to chomp off a chunk of his tail. It's been slowly growing back over the past four months, but he's had fin rot the entire time. I've tried various ...

You're gonna end up like me, with a huge tank taking over your room.

Re: Acting strange today, sitting on the floor and not being active

Hey there and welcome to the forum, I'm glad you're here. To help your betta, we'll need some info from you.

Have you made any recent changes to your tank, like adding a new plant or some chemical additive?

Is your betta's color looking okay, or is he slightly bloated? What's the condition of ...

How to care for java moss

I've got some java moss on the way from Zorchzon and I'm excited to get it in my tank. I'm planning to use it on my terracotta pot cave ornament to cover up the visible bits. I've attached anubias to my ornaments and driftwood with a safe super glue before, but I've never worked with java moss. To ...

Re: helping a betta with fin rot

I just rescued a betta from Walmart - I know, I know, it's a gamble, but I couldn't resist. This little guy was stuck on a back shelf, his vibrant blue water had turned clear, and he was literally starving. To make matters worse, he's got a nasty case of fin rot. I've had my fair share of happy ...

Choosing between 2 or 3 chambers in a divided tank

The Story:

I set up a 10-gallon tank back in May, using some reused filter media from my main tank to get it cycled. I added one of my mystery snails to keep the wood pieces I bought free of that annoying white stuff. She's done a great job so far. Initially, I planned to turn this tank into a ...
