I agree with cyanite. The 307 is reliable. I've had mine for over a year now, and it's been quiet and efficient. Just watch out for the intake tube, it can suck in smaller fish if you're not careful.

Drip acclimation is a good practice, especially if the water parameters differ a lot. It's not just about temperature, but also pH and hardness. Better safe than sorry, right? My Emperor Tetras are in a 30-gallon with driftwood and Java Fern.

Hey, since you're new, I'm curious about your tank setup - what's the size, and do you have a pump, filter, and heater in place? As for your issue, I think coltin's explanation about the long journey could be a possibility, or maybe Sashimi just needed a good long sleep, you know?
