Re: Is my tank overstocked?

Got it. I'll start scouting for a bigger tank or a new home for one Angel. Appreciate the advice, everyone.

Re: Is my tank overstocked?

Dude, Angelfish can be such divas, especially in smaller tanks. They're probably just flexing their fins. How's the aggression? Any nipped fins or hiding fish? Also, what's your decor like? More plants might chill them out.

No nipped fins yet, but the Tetras dart away when the Angels swim near ...

Is my tank overstocked?

I've got a 30 gallon tank with 10 Neon Tetras, 5 Corydoras, and a pair of Angelfish. Running a Fluval 307 canister filter, weekly 25% water changes, and parameters are stable at 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 10 nitrate. The Angelfish seem a bit territorial lately. Am I pushing it?

Re: effective methods for removing aquarium algae

Hello everyone,

I'm dealing with a bit of an issue in my 29 gallon planted tank. I've got 10 harlequin Rasboras, 8 peppered and green cories (lost 2, think they were too small to eat the food), and a peacock Gudgeon.

I've been having some trouble with brown algae. It's been a few months since ...

Help with a specific issue

I'm still having trouble growing Zorchzon Swords and Java Ferns in my 53-gallon tank. I buy them in those tubes from Petco or PetSmart to avoid snails. I've had success with Anubias, though. I know my substrate isn't ideal, but I'm not about to tear up the tank to replace it now. I've got a Fluval ...

Re: help, my friend's betta is rotting

It's about 4 years old, I think, and it's got some rot near the tail. It's somehow managed to build back enough strength to swim, so it's not a case of dead muscles or tissue. They've just set up a filtered tank, but the family's going through a tough time financially - they've had to move in with ...
