Considering you're going with sand, corydoras could be a great addition, six of them would do well. Alternatively, khuli loaches might be another good option.

To be honest, I wouldn't keep frontosas with malawis, they're from tanganyika and they do get a bit big for a 4ft tank. If you're set on a species-only tank and want lots of colour, I'd go for one that displays sexual dimorphism - pseudotropheus saulosi is a great example. I'd also have to agree ...

Don't stress too much, breeding kribs are pretty aggressive but they're great parents. They'll take care of their young, just make sure you've got a plan for the fry in a couple months, that's all.
