I've got a 75 gallon planted tank with 6 Discus, 2 years old, and I'm thinking about adding some shrimp. Water's at 84°F, pH 6.5, with a canister filter and weekly 30% water changes. Anyone tried this combo before? Do they just eat the shrimp or can they coexist?

Just be careful not to overdo it. Bloodworms are high in fat, and too much can lead to health issues. My discus are in a 75g, temp 85F, pH 6.6, with a sponge filter and daily 10% water changes. I feed them bloodworms once every two weeks, along with a mix of pellets and homemade beef heart ...

discus tank algae control methods
My discus tank has been struggling with algae lately. I do weekly 50% water changes, use RO water, and keep the temp at 84°F. The tank is 75 gallons with sand substrate and driftwood. Lighting is on for 8 hours a day. Any tips to control the algae without harming the fish?
