Re: Is there more than one dwarf angel?
It's a 250 litre tank, so hopefully that's big enough.

Is there more than one dwarf angel?
I've read that angels can be territorial, which makes me think you can only have one per tank. Can anyone confirm this?
Are they safe for a reef setup, by the way?
Any advice or experiences you can share would be great, thanks.

Re: Best flow for soft corals
I'd cut the flow way back. My Zoas were pissed until I dropped the flow to like 15%. Now they're spreading like crazy. Also, what salt mix are you using? Some brands can be sketchy for softies.
Exactly. Soft corals are low-maintenance. Less flow, stable params, and they'll thrive. How often are ...

Re: Best flow for soft corals
Soft corals usually prefer gentle flow. My Zoanthids thrive in low to medium flow, around 20-40%. Maybe try adjusting one MP40 to 20% and see how they react. What's your lighting setup?

Puffer and triggers
Still on the fence about my 130 litre nano tank setup.
Puffers or triggers appeal to me, but I'm also considering coflakes down the line.
Are there any puffer or trigger species that are safe for a reef tank?

Re: Goniopora recession issues
I'm no expert, but I think I see a worm on that coral, might be stressing it out. I've had pretty good luck with gonioporas in medium flow, non-direct light - usually stick 'em in a corner or back middle of the tank. I feed 'em morning doses of Red Sea Reef Energy A&B, Actipods, and Cyclopeeze ...

acquiring copepods for mandarin fish
I've been considering purchasing copepods online, mainly because I'm interested in getting a Mandarin, but I don't have the luxury of time or space to cultivate a colony on my own.

keeping multiple goby species in the same tank
I'm setting up a new tank and I'm keen on adding a goby.
The yellow watchman, blue cheek, and Randall's shrimp goby have caught my eye.
Can you mix and match different types in a 250-litre tank or is it best to stick with one?

Re: Favia coral displaying mesenterial filaments from its mouth
Yeah, I'm in no rush to move the sponge, it's stuck to the rock with the Favia, classic reefing - one thing leads to another.
The Favia's looking better though, it's retracted about 75% of the filaments and seems happier. I'm starting to think most of the stress was from flow and lighting. Getting ...
