Thanks for the input, everyone. Sounds like captive bred might be the way to go for me. I'll stick with my current setup and maybe try a few wild ones down the line if I feel like a challenge.

I've been thinking about getting some wild discus, but I'm not sure if they're worth the extra hassle compared to captive bred. Anyone have experience with both?
