I've had good luck with the API Master Kit. The strips can be sketchy, especially for nitrates. How often are you testing? I check mine every few days since my boy's in a planted 10 gallon with shrimp.

Seconding Anubias. Also, try Cryptocoryne Wendtii. It's got a strong root system once established. Mine survived a pair of digging Geophagus. Just give it time to settle.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. It's a torch coral, and the clowns are hosting in a nearby anemone. I'll test phosphates tonight and maybe move the torch to a higher flow area. Appreciate the help!

my coral is turning brown, why?
My coral is turning brown and I'm not sure why. Tank's been stable for months, 75 gallons, running a Reef Octopus skimmer. Params are 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 5 nitrate, 8 dKH alk, 420 calcium.
