Yo, you gotta bump up the feeding frequency. Fry need to eat like 5-6 times a day, small amounts. Try adding some microworms or vinegar eels to the mix. They're tiny and packed with nutrients. Also, check your water params, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, nitrate under 10ppm.

Y'all sleeping on sumps, but aight. If you go canister, at least grab a pre-filter sponge. Saves you from opening the whole thing every time. My boy's Discus tank crashed 'cause he skipped that step. Had to cycle all over again.

Yo, skip the canister mess if you ain't tryna clean it every month. Get a sump, bruh. Way more room for media, easier maintenance, and you can hide heaters and other junk in there. My 75 gallon sump's got filter socks, bio balls, and a protein skimmer. Discus been thriving, no cap.

If you're gonna go the homemade route, make sure you freeze the mix for at least a week to kill any parasites. I learned that the hard way. My tank's got a UV sterilizer now, just in case.
