Crypts are more low-light plants. They'll melt under high light unless you've got them shaded by taller plants.

In my experience, Rotala Rotundifolia and Ludwigia Super Red do really well under high light. They color up nicely and grow fast with CO2. What's your substrate? That can make a big difference.

Apart from looks, there isn't a huge difference between clarkii and sebae. Clarkii are generally considered a hardier fish, though. Both are semi-aggressive and need a good amount of space, at least 30 gallons. At the end of the day, it's gonna come down to which one you like the look of more.

Another option for fragging duncans is using side cutters, which can be a safer choice compared to a dremel as it eliminates the risk of overheating the coral.
