I might have to look into a refugium more seriously. My nitrates are always creeping up, and water changes only cut it for a few days. What's the smallest tank you'd recommend one for?

I've heard mixed things about refugiums. Some say they're worth it, others think they're overkill. My tank's only 40 gallons, so I'm not sure if it's necessary. What do you guys think?

James is being stubborn, so I'd say try a different approach. Stop giving him those tasty frozen treats and flakes, and just offer him a pellet. If he refuses, take the pellet out of the tank and don't give him any food for 24 hours. The next day, try again with a pellet, and if he still says no ...

It seems like there's an underlying issue with pellets, almost as if it's neurological in nature. I'm concerned that if I only feed him pellets and he refuses, he might go without eating for an extended period, perhaps even a week or more, which is a bit unsettling.
