Also, keep an eye on your pH if you start dosing heavily. Some two-part solutions can drive it up, especially if your tank's already running high. A refugium or CO2 scrubber can help balance things out if needed.

I've tried all three methods, and each has its quirks. Kalkwasser is great until your room gets too humid and evaporation slows. Two-part works but eats up dosing pump heads. Reactors are solid but need CO2 monitoring. What's your current maintenance routine like?

Yep, otos are chill. Also, cherry shrimp won't touch your plants, and they're fun to watch. Just gotta watch out for bigger fish picking on 'em. My betta leaves 'em alone, but it's hit or miss.
Shrimp are a great idea, but if you're worried about aggression, try nerite snails. They're algae ...
