For real, bigger tanks are easier to maintain too. Less chance of ammonia spikes.

I've had luck with reducing the light and adding a bit more flow at the surface. Duckweed doesn't like too much movement, so it tends to clump up where it's calmer. Easier to scoop out that way.

My betta's always on high alert, like I'm some kinda threat or something.
