Yep, floaters are clutch. Just gotta thin 'em out now and then so they don't block all the light.

For real, algae's a pain. I run my lights at 7 hours with a siesta period in the middle. Keeps the plants happy and the algae in check. Also, don't skimp on the ferts, but don't go overboard either.

Yo, if you're gonna go high-tech, you gotta mess with some Monte Carlo or Dwarf Hairgrass for the carpet. They'll spread like crazy under CO2 and high light. Just watch out for algae if your ferts are outta whack.

I've got a betta that'll flare at me if I get my face close to his tank. Same thing if I put my finger near him, he'll flare right up.
