Re: about the cross
I'm with lentoa on this one. The market's already flooded with mixed breeds, so let's not add to the problem. If you're serious about breeding for the purpose of selling, focus on a single species and work with a dedicated breeding group. That way, you can offer purebred fish to buyers. If you ...

Re: Dealing with an aggressive cichlid
I've had a similar experience with temporarily removing aggressive fish, only to see them revert to their old ways once reintroduced to the main tank. One of my fluxeonblood peacocks spent over a month in isolation, but as soon as I put him back, he went right back to being aggressive. Ultimately, I ...

Re: Is this stocking suitable
Considering the tank size, I think the fairy cichlids might become dominant if they start breeding, their territorial nature could become an issue. I'm no expert on tanganyikans, but to me, this setup seems better suited for a pair of brichardi or perhaps some shell dwellers; they tend to be less ...

Re: Mbuna dwarf care
A 4ft tank works just fine for them, I've seen them thrive in similar setups.

Re: Mbuna dwarf care
No specific species comes to mind that I'd recommend with the Pseudotropheus saulosi and Iodotropheus Sprengerae, but I'd stick to Mbuna from the same lake.
Maybe something like Maylandia callainos, they're pretty similar in terms of requirements and temperament.

Re: Mbuna dwarf care
I was about to ask, what's the tank's layout like, but I guess I can just look that up myself. 240L gives you a decent amount of space to work with. If you're set on adding a third species, I think you could make it work, and the Synodontis Lucipinnis could be a nice addition too. Just not entirely ...

Re: long stocking options for 125 gallons
You'll want to be aware that electric yellows and yellow labs are essentially the same thing. The yellows and whites will crossbreed, as will the different peacocks. If you're set on having all males, you might consider having just one of each species to avoid any potential issues.

I'm not super confident in my Shellie ID skills, but the pic looks somewhat similar to a lamprologus ocellatus. You might want to try posting on cichlid-forum.com, they've got a ton of experts who can probably give you a definitive answer.

Re: finding a suitable tank mate and identifying shell dwellers
I think getting a few would be a good idea, then you can let them sort themselves out and see which ones pair up. That way, you'll have a better chance of finding a compatible mate for your shell dweller. Your tank seems like it would work for a breeding pair, so that's a plus.

Re: need assistance
I'm worried you've got a bit of a ticking time bomb on your hands with that many fish in a 27 gallon tank. The gorami may be running the show now, but I wouldn't trust the zebra as far as I could throw it - those guys can turn nasty at a moment's notice and start picking off the others. Same with ...
