Re: Choosing the right fertilizer for your garden
I'm assuming the fertilizer dosage is dependent on the types of plants I've got in the tank, just trying to figure out what works best for the long haul and keeping them healthy.

Choosing the right fertilizer for your garden
Hi all, I'm running a 34-gallon tank with 14 easy-grow plant varieties and co2 injections, but I'm struggling to balance my fertilizer - I'm using seachem flourish. The instructions say 5ml a week, twice a week if needed. My question is, if I'm doing 5ml a week, is it best to dose the full 5ml on a ...

Re: Is my pleco pregnant?
She's usually got a bit of a belly, but this time it seemed way more noticeable, thanks for the advice though.

Is my pleco pregnant?
Afternoon all, just had a look at my pleco and I've noticed she's put on a bit of weight around the belly area. I'm wondering if she might be expecting, has anyone else had any experience with pregnant plecos?

Re: caring for rotala rotundifolia
I've been doing some reading online and I'm a bit worried I might be overstocked, but I've had the same stock since the start so I'm not sure that's the issue, the only thing that's changed recently is the filter, I swapped out the original aqua one that came with the tank, it had a really strong ...

Re: caring for rotala rotundifolia
@starlord yesterday I dosed 3ml of iron and the water was fine, today I've done the same and there's a slight cloudy white colour to it. 3ml was my original dose before I started upping the iron, been following the same dosing schedule for 2 months now and it's only started doing this more regularly ...

Re: caring for rotala rotundifolia
I'm thinking its the iron that's causing the cloudy water, nothing else has changed and the extra iron has really kicked the plants into gear. I'm guessing I just need to drop the iron ml, I'm dosing 4 out of 6 days with ferts, Sunday is maintenance day. I had a slight bloom yesterday but the other ...

Re: caring for rotala rotundifolia
@starlord hi again, been upping my iron dose, now at 5ml and I've noticed my water has turned a bit cloudy, not really cloudy but you can see the difference, it's a white/blueish colour that fades throughout the day. I'm thinking maybe I'm adding too much or is it just an imbalance since I'm not ...
