Big Blue seems to be dealing with multiple issues. That mouth growth could be a tumor, or possibly some sort of abscess. "ok, could be, I'm not sure, what I've seen of cotton mouth looks 'fluffier', could be a tumor, but it does look like it may be fungus"

I'm also curious about how they pair off, I've got three angels and I'm guessing they're all males. Do I just keep adding more to the tank until I get a pair, seems like that could get expensive.

A new angel in my life
i got this guy cause of his unique appearance and awesome personality. walked up to the tank and he swam right to the front, the others just stayed back. we call him rhino due to his deformity. he's a real character.

I've done it both ways, but I'd say it's better to rescape with an empty tank. The first time I did it, I had fish in, but that was last year and I was still learning. This time, I removed the fish and it was much easier.
