Re: leaving my tank full of fish behind
Found a useful link on Lynx Reef about shipping frags, might be helpful for posting livestock too. Worth a read, covers the basics of how to package and send sensitive items.

Re: leaving my tank full of fish behind
You should definitely post some pics of the livestock and equipment, it's not the same without 'em.

Re: leaving my tank full of fish behind
I'm fairly certain a dancing shrimp is also known as a Sexy Shrimp, they're pretty small but quite entertaining to watch.

Re: leaving my tank full of fish behind
I'd be keen on the Bengali Cardinal and the Six Line Wrasse, plus the cleaner shrimp. What sizes are the fish?
You might want to check out ebay, in the fish and corals sections, to see how others post out livestock. That should give you an idea of what's involved.

Re: leaving my tank full of fish behind

Re: leaving my tank full of fish behind
I'm interested in some of the livestock, unfortunately I live a bit too far away to collect, would you consider posting any of the fish or inverts?

Re: My hammer coral is looking weird
Wall hammers - not exactly known for their longevity in aquariums. I've heard it's something like 80% of them don't make it.
So an 80% mortality rate for wall hammers, even in a well-established tank. That's pretty concerning. What about other types of corals, like frogspawn - do they have ...

Re: My hammer coral is looking weird
No, it wasn't always like that. I remember seeing it at the LFS and it was fully extended, tentacles super long. That's how it was for the first couple days after I got it home. But then it started retracting them more and more each day. That's why I ended up moving it, I figured it just wasn't a ...

My hammer coral is looking weird
What's going on with my hammer coral?:/. Had it for 2 weeks now and it's been at the bottom on the sand bed, away from direct high flow.
