A good mix for you could be pairing Labidochromis caeruleus with some other less aggressive species, as they'll complement the yellow labs nicely. I'm not sure I'd recommend pseudotropheus demasoni, though - they can be quite aggressive and are usually best in a species-only tank or in larger ...

considering a cichlid tank setup

Getting a new tank soon, 4x2x2 120 gallon, and I'm thinking of stocking it with some damaSoni - I've got one in my 20g but it's getting too small, feel bad for the guy. Also want some yellow labs in there, how many of each would be a good number? What other fish would go well in this setup?

Honestly, I think there's been a mix-up with your yellow lab - the one in the photos looks more like a red zebra to me. If the other one's the same, it's no wonder they fought after being stuck in the same bag for a while.
