Nitrates at 10 are fine, but yeah, keep an eye on them. Also, how's the guppy's color? Pale could mean stress or illness.

Be careful with salt if you've got live plants though. Some species don't handle it well.

I'd check the oxygen levels first. Corys are super sensitive to that. Also, what's your substrate? If it's sharp, it could be bothering their barbels.

I keep mine at 1.026, but stability matters more than the exact number. If you're swinging between 1.024 and 1.026, that's worse than holding steady at 1.025. How's your top-off system?

For Vals, it's best not to bury the crown as it'll rot. I've had success growing them with my Geos by placing them in a pot. Another trick is covering the surrounding area with flat stones to prevent digging until the roots are strong enough to hold. You'll still have some that'll inevitably get ...
