I'd advise against using superglue for attaching moss, it can turn white and look unsightly in your tank. Cotton or fishing line are better options for securing mosses, they're less noticeable and won't damage the moss.

For holding the java moss in place, you can use cotten wool or fishing line - these work quite well. Nets are another option, but they can look pretty ugly at first. As for covering the surface area, go ahead and cover as much as possible - the moss will grow, but it doesn't attach itself very well ...

Yeah, they do send out runners under the substrate, but from what I've seen, they're not nearly as aggressive as vallis in terms of spreading.
