Totally agree with bricksandfiddles. I waited 48 hours just to be extra sure. My fish were fine in a Rubbermaid bin with a sponge filter for a couple days. Just make sure the temp stays stable.

You'll want to wait at least 24 hours for the silicone to fully cure. If you rush it, the patch might not hold. Also, test the tank with water outside or in a bathtub before putting your fish back in. Better safe than sorry.

First thing, you gotta move your fish to a temporary tank or bucket with a heater and filter if possible. A leak near the bottom is sketchy because it could suddenly get worse. Check the silicone seams for any cracks or gaps. If it's a small leak, you might be able to patch it with aquarium-safe ...

My son's red VT Alphie initially flared at us for the first week, but nowadays he's all about the excited fishy dance whenever we approach, or rather, whenever the Hikari pellet packet makes an appearance.

I've done salt baths on my betta 3 times a day, 15 mins each, but I reckon you can go up to 30 mins if you're feeling brave, I was a bit cautious with Seth being my first time and all, but fingers crossed it'll do the trick.
