I can see why you'd both think that. I actually ran a picture through Google Lens and it suggested they might be lemon cichlids, but like I said, they're more orange than yellow, so I'm not entirely sure. I was thinking maybe red zebra cichlids, but at the same time, I can see the resemblance to the ...

Hey, it's been a bit. I picked up some assorted African cichlids lately and I'm trying to figure out what they are. Done some research, got a few ideas, but any help with a positive ID would be great, thanks.

Thanks for the input, everyone. Alk's at 8.5 dKH, calcium 420. Flow's two Nero 3s on opposite ends, 50% power. No new meds, just weekly 10% water changes with Red Sea Coral Pro. I'll check phosphates tonight.

Sinularia shedding, should I worry?
Noticed my Sinularia shedding a bit yesterday. Tank's been stable, 75g, running for 2 years, parameters are 8.1 pH, 1.025 salinity, 0 nitrates. Lighting's AI Prime 16HD, 10 hours daily. Should I be concerned or is this normal?

For a 40 gallon, you could also consider a small group of Boesemani Rainbows. They're active and colorful, but they need a school of at least six to feel secure. They'll add movement and vibrancy to your tank.
