I'd say he's likely an OHM, or possibly an RT, but we really need a clear shot of him flaring to be sure. A video of him flaring would be great too - either way, we'll get a better idea of what we're looking at.

Java ferns could be a good fit for your tank, especially the larger ones like mother plants - they'd work well as mid-ground plants and add some nice depth. Apparently, they're also considered "bitter" plants, which might help deter your angels from snacking on them.
