Stick with two-part for now. It's the easiest to adjust if your levels are off. Once you've got a handle on your tank's consumption rate, you can explore other options. Are you dosing magnesium too? Low mag will throw everything out of whack.

Thanks for clarifying things for me. I've only got one small plant in the tank, and to be honest, it's on its way out - I've never had much luck with live plants, so I won't be replacing it when it finally gives up the ghost.
