Duckweed can be a nightmare, but it's also great for soaking up excess nutrients. If you're dealing with high nitrates, it might actually be helping. Just skim off what you don't want and leave a little to keep the benefits. My shrimp love grazing on it too.

ok, so i've been doing some research on keeping mbuna and i know it's crucial to be careful with tankmates, especially when it comes to similar-looking or same-genus fish. was thinking of going with a wild-only setup, but i'm not sure if the same rules apply as they do with tank-raised fish ...
