Guppy quarantine duration?
Just picked up some new Guppies from the store, gonna quarantine them but not sure how long. Heard mixed things, some say a week, others say a month. What's the deal?

To be honest, I'm not a fan of the betta industry, especially when it comes to pet stores - they're often mass-bred by subpar breeders in the US, and sometimes shipped from overseas. It really depends on the situation. If I were to drive to a show or have a local breeder, I'd be willing to spend around $25 for a young, healthy, and exceptionally bred betta. I'm not a breeder, but I want a long-lived pet, unlike some of my rescued ones. However, considering the shipping costs ...

Honestly, I think you're in over your head here. Breeding bettas without a heater is a huge no-no, and to be honest, having bettas without a heater is just not right.
