Considering my tank's parameters and the issues my Betta's experiencing, I'm thinking of doing a 50% water change and adding some aquarium salt - maybe that'll help alleviate the fin rot and swim bladder issues.

I was actually looking for a purple betta at first, but I just couldn't find one and I ended up falling head over heels for my little guy. But I totally agree, purple and blue bettas are absolutely stunning.

Cambodkento4s and Armageddons are indeed gorgeous, I completely agree.

My go-to tail type is definitely HMPK - just something about them that catches my eye. Koi coloration is usually my top pick, there's something about the way the colors blend that I just love.

Sorry to hear about your loss, SeaBidder. I'm with you on the tail type though - anything that doesn't cause them to nip at their own fins is a win in my book.

Bettas are truly stunning, with so many unique tail types and colors to choose from - everyone has their own favorite, don't they. For me, delta tails will always hold a special place; I've had the pleasure of owning one, and he's honestly the happiest, most beautiful betta I've ever laid eyes on ...

I agree with kingrise, your friend's fish isn't looking the best. Considering his age of 4 years, it's not entirely surprising. He's been around for a while, and these health issues can be tough to tackle. I think @coltin might have some valuable insights to share, it's worth reaching out to them ...

I'm not convinced rinsing would be sufficient, what if some of the peroxide is retained within the plant?
