I'm really worried about my blonde naso, I think he's in trouble. The brown spots have gone but now he just lies on the sand and then suddenly starts thrashing about, swimming upside down and bumping into my rocks. What's going on with him?

I've had my blonde naso for about a month now and just started noticing these brown/black spots on him the past few days. There's also some lines of this brown/black stuff on him.

Seems like we're on the same page with growth rates. Those massive colonies with 100+ heads are pricey for a reason. Your frags look great, by the way.

I've had similar issues with my tank, and I always seem to find that Mg is the parameter that's consistently low. I've tried a few different salts, and even when I mix a batch that's spot on 1.025, the Alk and Ca are fine, but Mg is always a bit low.

My experience with peppermint shrimp is they'll eat healthy plate coral and frogspawn - no issues with that. They really went to town on the gsp though. Buyer beware, that's all I'm saying.
