Re: rescaping my 50-gallon mbuna tank

Nice job on the rescape, fruity1. Really like the stonework you've done in there.

Re: A goodbye to bucky

TimeLord: I didn't name my Betta "stompery" as in a copy, but I actually had a blue betta named stompery who passed away recently. I had named him that long before I even knew you existed. My next betta might be named after a Marvel character, like Sebastkento4 Stan or maybe Winter Soldier.

Re: A goodbye to bucky

May we take a moment to honor stompery's memory... May his spirit swim free in the great aquarium in the sky.

Go ahead, take the ideas - my tank isn't patented or anything. If you're serious about a freshwater or planted setup, start a journal in the relevant section. Mine's here: https://www ...

Re: vallisneria vs hornwort - opinions?

Hornwort's gonna be easier to manage, dude. It grows like crazy and doesn't need much light. Vallisneria can be picky with params, especially if your water's hard.

Re: feeding betta pellets

I came across some info about Cobalt online. Apparently, Cobalt is a key part of Vitamin B12, also called cobalamin.

Re: feeding betta pellets

I went with Northfin betta pellets instead - the ingredient list looked good to me and 45% protein is a great percentage for a betta. I'll still feed my betta bloodworms, freeze dried and frozen brine shrimp, daphnia, and flake from time to time for some variety. Has anyone here had any experience ...

Re: feeding betta pellets

Cutting those tiny pellets in half does seem like a hassle. I was really hoping to find a smaller pellet that floats, so I wouldn't have to go through that extra step. There are just so many pellets out there that sink too quickly, and I know my betta won't bother chasing after them.

Re: feeding betta pellets

One thing I'm wondering about is the size of these pellets - they're 1.3mm each. I'm concerned it might be too big for my young betta. For those with experience with betta pellets, what do you use for young ones or what would you recommend?

feeding betta pellets

Deciding on a pellet for my Betta's daily feed. The Cobalt one I found floats, which is a must. I'd love to hear from you experienced Betta keepers about the ingredients. So far, I've been giving my 12-day-old Betta flakes, freeze-dried bloodworms, and the occasional frozen brine shrimp. I also have ...
